Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Finance Analyst to provide timely financial analysis and support to services and senior management. The post holder will act as Deputy to the Finance Manager when required and will produce monthly budget statements and budgetary guidance to budget holders.

The role involves analysis of run rate and unit cost information to support monthly management accounts, with a focus on cost control and informed decision making across divisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance with NHS context preferred.
• Ability to travel between sites when required.
• Demonstrable numerical accuracy and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly budget statements and financial advice for budget holders.
• Prepare variance analysis and year-end forecasts.
• Support cost improvement programmes and budget setting.
• Provide financial information to aid operational decision making.
• Contribute to Trust reporting and performance monitoring.

Education

CCAB qualification (in progress)

Degree level education

Full CCAB or CIMA qualification (desirable)
