Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance environment with reconciliations and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience of budget setting.
• ECDL or equivalent with advanced keyboard skills.
• Theoretical NHS accounting issues knowledge; knowledge of PLICs/SLR and Access/SQL databases would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development of effective finance business partnering within assigned areas.
• Assist with preparation of robust financial forecasts and operational and strategic financial plans.
• Support the identification of financial risks and appropriate mitigating actions.
• Provide financial advice and support to managers, including contributing to the development and review of business cases.
• Work with budget holders to support effective financial management and contribute towards the Trust achieving its financial targets.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, timely and provided in accordance with the Trust's monthly reporting timetable.
• Take an active approach to your professional development, building your knowledge, skills and experience within NHS finance.
