Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Domestic/Porter Assistant at Woodlands Hospital, Manchester. This Band 2, part-time role covers a 25-hour week with Monday to Friday shifts, early and late, with occasional weekend work.

You will perform cleaning duties, waste management, equipment use, stock maintenance and ensure infection control standards are met. The post offers NHS terms with pro rata salary of £25,272 per annum, plus enhanced pay for evenings

Qualifications

• Awareness of national cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning duties across wards, offices and clinical areas to infection control standards.
• Waste management of clinical and domestic waste per NHS protocols.
• Operate cleaning equipment and maintain it properly.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Follow health and safety, COSHH and infection prevention procedures.
