Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Domestic/Porter Assistant at Woodlands Hospital, Manchester. The role is part-time (25 hours per week) with early and late shifts and occasional weekend work.

Salary is £25,272 per annum pro rata, with a 1 x 20-hour position available and Monday to Friday pattern. Responsibilities include ward and office cleaning, waste management, equipment operation, stock replenishment and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning Duties: Perform routine and deep cleaning of wards, offices, corridors, toilets, and clinical areas to meet infection control standards.
• Waste Management: Safely dispose of clinical and domestic waste following NHS protocols.
• Use of Equipment: Operate cleaning machinery (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners) and ensure proper maintenance.
• Stock Management: Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations, COSHH guidelines, and infection prevention procedures.
