Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Services Team Leader (Band 4) to lead housekeeping and portering across eight hospitals. The role includes ensuring clean and safe environments, staff guidance, and responsive service delivery in a busy facilities department.

The post is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours), with a pro rata salary of £28,392–£31,157 per annum. Flexible working options may be discussed, and travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a cleaning or domestic environment.
• Demonstrates ability to use resources (e.g. equipment) within the workplace. Ability to chair meetings and ensure actions are met as agreed. IOSHH trained or equivalent.
• Word and Excel knowledge.
• PowerPoint, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the efficient delivery of high-quality Facilities and Domestic services across the Trust's sites.
• Ensure effective communication systems for staff, contractors and service users regarding Facilities matters.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and operational control to develop and maintain Facilities Services to meet patient expectations.
• Knowledgeable in identifying hazards in the workplace and ensuring safe working practices.
