The Credit Controller role at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust supports the Financial Accountant, focusing on timely debt collection and accurate debtor management across NHS and non-NHS accounts. You will liaise with SBS, budget holders and service managers to optimise income and support audits.

Based at either the Corporate Hub in Cosham or St Mary's Hospital, Isle of Wight, this NHS Band 5 permanent post requires good Excel/Outlook skills, flexibility and proactive debt recovery.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of health service financial management.
• Relevant high level business qualification and/or NHS work experience.
• Basic accounting skills and forecasting skills.
• Evidence of communication skills with non-financial managers on financial issues.
• Studying towards CCAB/CIMA qualification, have equivalent experience in a degree in a relevant subject.

Responsabilités

• Assist in debt recovery and invoicing processes.
• Chase debt with SBS and maintain debtor notes.
• Provide recommendations and instructions to external debt collection companies.
• Liaise with SBS, Customers and Billing Team to resolve invoice queries.
• Develop extensive knowledge of the Oracle Financial System to guide users.
