Isle of Wight NHS Trust is recruiting a Credit Controller to support the Financial Accountant in delivering income collection and debtor management across NHS and non-NHS customers. The role involves proactive debt recovery, liaison with SBS and external bodies, and ensuring timely payments.

Based at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust Corporate Hub or St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight, you will need basic accounting and strong communication skills, with opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Basic accounting skills and knowledge of NHS financial processes.
• Strong communication skills with non-financial managers.
• Experience presenting financial information clearly.
• Studying towards CCAB/CIMA qualification; NHS experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Accountant in debt recovery and income collection.
• Maintain regular contact with external customers and NHS bodies to resolve queries.
• Assist in audit processes and improve credit control procedures.
• Produce and maintain debt management reports.
• Liaise with SBS and other teams to maximise debt recovery.
