Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an NHS 111 call handler at its Peterborough Contact Centre. You will triage urgent and non-urgent calls, provide essential medical advice, and direct patients to the right service using NHS Pathways. Training is full-time for six weeks, with rota shifts from 7am to 11pm across seven days.

Right to work in the UK without sponsorship is required. Successful candidates will be based in Peterborough and undergo DBS checks if applicable.

Job description

A call handling post at HUC's Peterborough Contact Centre, answering NHS 111 and Out of Hours GP calls for patients across several regions. The core work is triaging urgent and non-urgent calls and directing patients to the right service using NHS Pathways. Rota shifts run 7am to 11pm across seven days, after six weeks of weekday training. Visa sponsorship is not available, so the right to work must cover the whole employment.
