Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer specializing in Next Generation AI & Computing to help customers evaluate, adopt, and deploy emerging AI technologies that define the next generation of intelligent enterprise systems. You will work directly with customers to identify strategic opportunities and transform cutting-edge innovations into secure, scalable, production-ready AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and delivering innovative AI solutions in customer-facing roles.
• Proven experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating research into production-ready enterprise solutions.
• Strong expertise in AI architectures, distributed systems, cloud-native engineering, and enterprise software development.
• Ability to rapidly learn, evaluate prototypes, and industrialize emerging technologies.
• Broad knowledge across quantum computing, photonic computing, AI infrastructure, and next-generation architectures.
• Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms, CI/CD, MLOps/LLMOps, and secure-by-design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to identify future technology opportunities and define innovation roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Assess customer environments and identify where emerging AI and computing technologies can create measurable business value.
• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI solutions and rapid PoVs using next-generation AI architectures and computing platforms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, research trends, and technology maturity to recommend the optimal solution for each customer.
• Translate advanced research into practical enterprise architectures and scalable production deployments.
• Leverage AI-assisted development and intelligent engineering practices to accelerate innovation while maintaining engineering excellence.
• Ensure solutions are secure by design, scalable, resilient, and aligned with enterprise governance.
