Job summary

QS Recruitment seeks a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to operate in the Metheringham area, supporting local waste collection services. The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, CPC, and Tachograph card, plus a good physical fitness level and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience in refuse driving or a similar role preferred.
• Good level of physical fitness due to job demands.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work within the Metheringham area, supporting local waste collection services.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household waste, working as part of a team to keep the community clean and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.
• Assisting loaders with the collection of household waste when required. (Not often)
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all collections are completed safely and in line withregulations
  Providing a professional and courteous service to the public

Hourly Rate: Pay for this position will be £14.50 per hour.£17.00 p/h via umbrella.Overtime/Bank Holidays paid at time and a half.You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year.Please note we do not offer sponsorship.

Working Hours: 0630 (Summer) to 0700 (All other times) start timeaveraging 8 hour shifts30 Min Breaks
