New Business Development Manager

We have a truly rare opportunity for a New Business Development Manager to join a national IT Support company based in the Norfolk area. Our client is one of the UK’s leading Cyber Security and IT Support providers, driven by strong values and a genuine passion for delivering seamless, people-focused service that truly makes a difference to their clients.

Main Responsibilities for the successful New Business Development Manager:

As a New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new revenue opportunities, ensuring the company sustains growth and financial health.

  1. Drive growth and expand the trading business through proactive customer acquisition.
  2. Lead and manage the full B2B sales cycle, from generating and qualifying leads to processing orders, ensuring a smooth and seamless client experience throughout.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for a number of client accounts, managing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  4. Work closely with management to design and execute account strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth.
  5. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients.
  6. Work closely with the presales team to develop tailored customer proposals and manage communications through to closure.
  7. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of client interactions, project milestones, and contractual agreements.
  8. Conduct regular client meetings, virtual calls, and presentations to strengthen relationships and build trust.
  9. Represent the company at industry events and conferences, staying informed about emerging trends and maintaining a visible presence in the sector.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development initiatives to continuously enhance skills and expertise.
  11. Meet business performance targets by balancing short-term goals with long-term strategies, implementing management systems to reduce dependency on individuals.

About the successful New Business Development Manager:

  • Excellent IT sales experience (minimum 2-3 years), ideally from an MSP or similar B2B background.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong experience with operating systems (Office 365 for Business, Networking and Server products, Cloud storage such as Azure).
  • Ability to manage a territory to achieve targets and key performance indicators.
  • Ability to organise and coordinate complex activities within interrelated schedules and timelines, demonstrating sound judgment and task orientation.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.
  • People person with great personality traits and a sense of humour!
