New Business Development Manager
We have a truly rare opportunity for a New Business Development Manager to join a national IT Support company based in the Norfolk area. Our client is one of the UK’s leading Cyber Security and IT Support providers, driven by strong values and a genuine passion for delivering seamless, people-focused service that truly makes a difference to their clients.
Main Responsibilities for the successful New Business Development Manager:
- Drive growth and expand the trading business through proactive customer acquisition.
- Lead and manage the full B2B sales cycle, from generating and qualifying leads to processing orders, ensuring a smooth and seamless client experience throughout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a number of client accounts, managing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Work closely with management to design and execute account strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth.
- Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients.
- Collaborate with the presales team to develop tailored customer proposals and manage communications through to closure.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of client interactions, project milestones, and contractual agreements.
- Conduct regular client meetings, virtual calls, and presentations to strengthen relationships and build trust.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, staying informed about emerging trends and maintaining a visible presence in the sector.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development initiatives to continuously enhance skills and expertise.
- Meet business performance targets by balancing short-term goals with long-term strategies, and implementing management systems to reduce dependency on individuals.
About the successful New Business Development Manager:
- Excellent IT sales experience (minimum 2-3 years), ideally from an MSP or similar B2B background.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong experience with operating systems such as Office 365 for Business, Networking and Server products, and Cloud storage solutions like Azure.
- Ability to manage a territory effectively to achieve targets and KPIs.
- Excellent organizational skills to coordinate complex activities within interrelated schedules and timelines, demonstrating sound judgment and task focus.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.
