Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust's Neurology Department is seeking a part-time Medical Secretary / Pathway Navigator to support neurology and neurophysiology clinics, including nerve conduction studies.

You will handle appointments, uploading reports to Cerner, and liaise with patients, GPs and consultants. The role offers training, flexible working options and a friendly team at a dynamic Trust.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as Medical Secretary or similar role.
• Formal secretarial qualifications or substantial equivalent experience.
• Good general level of education.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient administrative support to Consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage neurology and neurophysiology clinic administration, including cancelling and amending lists.
• Handle telephone enquiries from GPs, patients and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
• Upload reports to Cerner and distribute neurophysiology results.
