Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Pathway Navigator within the Pain Management department to coordinate administrative functions for patients from GP referral to discharge, following specific care pathway instructions.

The successful candidate will support multi-disciplinary teams, manage prioritisation of workload, and help streamline patient journeys by coordinating pathways to reduce unnecessary appointments across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment.
• Experience interacting with staff at all levels.
• Previous administrative and organisational experience.
• Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and working to deadlines.
• Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative functions for patients from the time of GP referral to discharge.

Work as part of a team within a dedicated speciality/patient group to ensure that all administrative functions for patients from the time of GP referral to the time of discharge are coordinated in line with specific care pathway instructions to facilitate the smooth running of the patients' journey. Where a patient has multiple specialist needs, assist the patient in coordinating their pathways to reduce multiple appointments across the Trust.

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Clinical Pathway Navigator to join the Pain Management department. We are looking for a positive and motivated person with an eye for detail to join our team. The successful candidate is required to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have:

• Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment
• Experience of interacting with staff at all levels
• Previous administrative and organisational experience
• Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and working to deadlines
• Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems
