The Walton Centre is seeking a permanent, full-time Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the therapy service. The post rotates across acute neurology, acute neurosurgery and neuro-rehabilitation, with a caseload to manage and opportunities to supervise assistants and students.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in adults with neurological conditions. HCPC registration is required to apply.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• HCPC registration (applicants must have it to apply).
• Experience in an acute hospital setting is required.

Responsabilités

• Assess and treat patients within a designated specialist clinical area.
• Establish and manage a clinical caseload.
• Rotate across all areas of the Therapy service as directed by Therapy Managers.
• Work flexibly according to service needs.
• Support therapy assistants and students; delegate duties.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to improve care quality.
• Provide clinical education and training to other healthcare professionals.
• Assist senior therapy staff in service development and quality improvement.
• Support specified areas of service provision under supervision.
• Influence research and professional development for self and others.
