Job summary

North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapist to work across Orthopaedics, Trauma, Stroke, Medicine, Surgery, and Community services. Rotations are six to nine months with opportunities for developing specialist skills as service needs evolve.

The post involves assessing caseloads, planning and implementing rehabilitation, and arranging appropriate discharge pathways to help patients return to their usual lifestyle wherever possible.

Qualifications

• Rotations across core service areas including Orthopaedics, Trauma, Stroke, Medicine, Surgery, Elderly Care, and Community Therapy.
• Each rotation lasts 6–9 months with potential for developing specialist skills.
• Assess caseload needs; devise treatment and rehabilitation plans; identify discharge pathways to restore prior lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of people on their caseload; devise treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Identify discharge pathways to enable return to previous lifestyle where possible.
• Rotate between Stockton and Hartlepool localities; work autonomously with supervisory CPD support.
