What will you be doing?
The Network Quality Assurance Technician (NQAT) is responsible for maintaining a high-quality, 24-hour service to our internal and external customers in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
The NQAT will ensure our delivery partners operate within their remit under the Bristol Water Framework delivering to an exact standard drawing, meeting both environmental and external stakeholder requirements such as our Local Authorities, whilst maintaining the compliance and quality of workmanship across the Bristol Water area of supply. This will be primarily through inspection, diagnosis, monitoring and reporting of our delivery partners work on a day-to-day basis, including health and safety and providing support on interruptions to supply.
The NQAT is responsible for ensuring all elements of delivery maintain a high level of compliance across a multi functional framework comprising of Repair and Maintenance, New Mains and Services, Renovations, Metering and Reinstatement supporting overall performance within their geographical area including cost, productivity, levels of service and customer expectations.
Normal hours for this role are 47.5 per week.
The Network Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for…
- Supporting the performance, compliance and quality of our delivery partners addressing any workmanship issues inclusive of traffic management and street works compliance, utilising corporate reporting systems.
- Ensuring all our delivery partners meet the industry standards to operate safely and compliantly by monitoring the day-to-day SHEQ related issues for all work within their geographical area of responsibility.
- Ensuring our delivery partners and operational staff report all (SHEQ) incidents, accidents, near misses and service strikes to the BW H&S Team, immediately notifying their manager.
- Providing to both internal and external customers a professional and customer focused service, ensuring the Company’s brand is always projected in a positive and professional manner.
- Supporting customer complaints as required within their geographical area, focusing towards a prompt and satisfactory resolution with the customer.
- Undertaking any technical queries and advising customers of relevant company policies and procedures to ensure these policies are adhered to.
- Ensuring our delivery partners are following method statements, risk assessments, design instructions and any other procedures in ensuring our delivery partners are following method statements, risk assessments, design instructions and any other procedures in place
- Carrying out risk assessments when required and ensuring any control measures identified are put in place.
- Ensuring all works are NRSWA and permit compliant.
- Supporting the accurate assessment of our delivery partners costs, service level compliance and quality standards.
- Being part of a multi-disciplined standby team, participating in a 7day/24hr operational standby
What we’re looking for...
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Good experience of IT and operating on a mobile working platform
- Excellent customer centric approach
- An organised and methodical approach to work
- Experience of working on water network contracts with an excellent understanding of work methods
- Inputting to planning activities and traffic management to ensure deliverability
- Experience of liaising with external business contacts & third partie
- Understanding on Safe Systems of Work
- EUSR Water Hygiene
- Utility SHEA
- Ability to analyse information
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental standards in the workplace and the ability to carry out risk assessments and method statements.
