Location:We currently have vacancies for a Network Operation Technician to join the Customer Field Services department to cover the Sheffield area. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance from our Blackburn Meadowswastewatersites and be committed to helping Yorkshire Water provide excellent service to our customers.Could this be you?
Work type:These are permanent opportunities, working rotational 37 or 40-hour work patterns on a 4 on 4 off basis, which may include late, early, and weekend work patterns.

Where you fit in:
As aNetwork Operation Technician,you will deliver first-time fixes and same-day solutions to customer and environmental issues, and execute the asset plan for network maintenance to prevent escapes.
You will work in the field within a geographical team, focusing on improving customer service and network performance. Your responsibilities include ensuring first-time fix solutions, proper site setup, and completing POWRA to identify risks and undertake corrective actions.
You will proactively and reactively maintain the sewerage network to prevent flooding and pollution from sewage escapes, ensuring no repeats occur.
You will collaborate with Yorkshire Water teams and contractors on-site to resolve operational issues, operate different vehicle types as needed, and conduct investigations to resolve issues and prevent repeats. You will use IT systems to gather and relay information, including capturing evidence and reporting on issues.
You may also maintain and install Customer Sewer Alarms and work with third-party providers for support.
You must always adhere to Health and Safety practices and demonstrate financial awareness when making decisions. Providing technical support and first-line responses to customer contacts are also key responsibilities, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
