Location: We currently have vacancies for a Network Operations Technician to join the Customer Field Services department to cover the Sheffield area. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance from our Blackburn Meadows wastewater sites and be committed to helping Yorkshire Water provide excellent service.
Work type: These are permanent opportunities, working rotational 37 or 40-hour work patterns on a 4 on 4 off basis, which may include late, early, and weekend work patterns.

Where you fit in:
As our Network Operations Technician, you will deliver first-time fixes and same-day solutions to customer and environmental issues, and execute the asset plan for network maintenance to prevent escapes.
You will work in a geographical team to improve customer service and sewer network performance, ensuring quality work and safety standards are met, including proper site setup and risk assessments.
Your responsibilities include maintaining the sewerage network proactively and reactively, preventing sewage escapes, and working closely with other teams and contractors to resolve operational issues.
You may operate different vehicle types depending on availability and job requirements.
You will conduct investigations, collect evidence, and report on issues within the sewer network, including maintaining customer sewer alarms and working with third-party providers.
You must always comply with health and safety procedures, make informed decisions considering financial implications, and provide first-line customer support to ensure effective resolution.
