A great opportunity to make a difference within the Wastewater Network. Internally, this role is known as Sewer Network Manager.
As a Sewer Network Manager, you will be responsible for the productivity and performance of sewer networks across Hampshire, maintaining service standards to meet strategic targets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of sewer network engineers. You will collaborate with Waste Pump Station Managers and various support functions to reduce pollution, manage flooding, promote health and safety, control finances, and deliver excellent customer service.
You will be accountable for network performance within Hampshire, managing operational risk, working with Asset Management to ensure appropriate CAPEX and OPEX asset improvement plans, managing your OPEX budget, and coaching your team with a focus on employee engagement to deliver performance at least cost.

This role involves working with external stakeholders such as the Environment Agency, Local Authorities, British Standards Institute, and direct customer contacts, as well as liaising internally with operational teams to exchange information about plant functioning and maintenance.

To succeed, you should have strong leadership skills and experience in operational excellence. A degree or relevant qualification and experience within the utilities industry are highly advantageous, but we also welcome applicants from operational management backgrounds with a passion to make a difference. You should be able to analyze management information to identify trends and problems, with good financial acumen. Working in a highly regulated environment, your role will be pivotal in ensuring standards of work meet industry standards.
