Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a CNI-focused engineer to build and operate private network interconnect systems at scale. You will design, develop, and maintain software that provisions, monitors, and orchestrates interconnects across Cloudflare’s global network, collaborating with product and infrastructure teams to deliver secure and reliable connectivity for enterprise customers.

You’ll work with Rust, Go, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Kubernetes, and networking concepts, while participating in on-call

Qualifications

Experience with systems-level programming in Rust, Go, C, or C++.
Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals (BGP, Layer 3 routing).
Experience building, deploying, and debugging distributed systems.
Experience participating in an on-call rotation for services with direct customer impact.
Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools and systems into your workflow.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, document, and extend systems provisioning for private network interconnects.
Code, test, and deploy software across cloud and network environments.
Collaborate with Product Management, Network Engineering, and Infrastructure teams on initiatives.
Operate health of systems and participate in on-call rotations.
