Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Network) to join the Digital Services Infrastructure Team. You will ensure secure, efficient, and reliable infrastructure across Croydon’s acute and community sites, supporting staff access to critical systems and data.

The role requires strong server/storage, networking and security skills, with ITIL foundations and vendor certification experience.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in effectively supporting a large scale, complex environment.
• Experience with thin client infrastructure and technologies.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and messaging systems.
• Experience of working with 3rd parties.
• ITIL Foundation qualification.
• Networking qualification.

Responsabilités

• Deliver infrastructure services in line with SLAs and maintain maximum availability; ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Manage and upgrade servers, storage and security systems, with regular patching and testing.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and connectivity; report findings to senior management.
• Implement and maintain data backup strategies and ensure security compliance.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and external stakeholders to coordinate work.
• Provide training and mentorship across teams and explore new technologies to improve patient care.
