Job summary

Additional Resources in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support enterprise networking, security and SDN initiatives. The role requires DV clearance and hands-on experience with routing, switching, VLANs, DNS/DHCP and virtualization platforms.

The engineer will maintain diagrams and procedures, aid capacity and resilience improvements, and participate in automation projects using Ansible, Python, and Terraform. Limited travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• DV clearance or equivalent is required.
• Strong grasp of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS/DHCP and troubleshooting.
• Background supporting enterprise networks and knowledge of SDN is preferred.
• Familiarity with networking vendors and security best practices.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support network security measures including firewalls and VPNs.
• Keep network diagrams, docs and procedures up to date.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance, and resilience.
• Support virtualized and SDN environments and engage in IaC activities.
• Lead technical workstreams for more experienced engineers.
• Travel to company premises as required and stay current with training.
