Additional Resources in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Network Engineer to maintain and improve enterprise network infrastructure across a specialist environment. The role is full-time with a salary up to £78,000 and benefits, and requires valid DV clearance.

You will support security measures, maintain diagrams and documentation, contribute to capacity planning and resilience, and participate in automation and SDN projects. Travel to company premises and other locations will be necessary.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Background in supporting enterprise network environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE or Fortinet technologies.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls and secure connectivity.
• Keep network diagrams, technical documentation and operational procedures up to date.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance improvements and network resilience.
• Support virtualised and software-defined networking environments.
• Assist with automation and Infrastructure as Code activities where appropriate.
• For experienced engineers, own technical workstreams and mentor junior colleagues.
• Travel to company premises or other locations as required.
• Keep knowledge up to date through training and development.
