Additional Resources in the United Kingdom is seeking a Network Engineer to maintain and improve enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure IT services. This full-time role offers salary up to £78,000 and benefits.

Note: Valid DV clearance is essential for this role. You will support security measures, document networks, and contribute to capacity planning and network resilience, with travel to company premises as needed.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
DV clearance is required.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing & switching, VLANs, DNS & DHCP, and network troubleshooting.
Experience supporting enterprise networks.
Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE or Fortinet products.
Understanding of network security principles and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

Supporting network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls and secure connectivity.
Keeping network diagrams, technical documentation and operating procedures up to date.
Contributing to capacity planning, performance improvements and network resilience.
Supporting virtualised and software-defined networking environments.
Assisting with automation and Infrastructure as Code activities where appropriate.
Taking ownership of technical workstreams, supporting junior colleagues and contributing to network design decisions (for more experienced engineers).
Travelling to company premises or other locations when required.
