What's in It for You?
  • Salary of £35K
  • Hybrid working, 3 days in Manchester city centre office
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to more
  • Private healthcare, for you and your family
  • Contributory pension with life assurance
  • Birthday off, moving day off, wedding bonus + day off
  • Gift day at Christmas
  • Paid wellbeing day, to spend however makes you happy
  • Free monthly breakfasts and team socials
  • Join a business at the cutting edge of full-fibre infrastructure during a period of rapid national expansion
The Role:

You'll be the go-to for complex escalations, handling 2nd line support across Managed LAN, WLAN and firewall environments and making sure everything lands within SLA. Working closely with Wholesale Partners, you'll be central to delivering end-to-end managed solutions that keep customers connected and supported.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a network support role, ideally within an MSP environment
  • Demonstrable experience delivering Managed WiFi and Managed Firewall solutions
  • Strong background in Managed LAN environments, including VLANs, switching and routing
  • Solid fundamentals across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching
  • Hands‑on firewall administration, preferably with Fortinet products (policy creation, VPN config, IPS management)
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and documentation
  • Strong communication skills, equally comfortable with Wholesale Partners, technical teams, and non‑technical customers
Nice to Have:

  • Degree in computer networking, engineering or a related field
Day to day:

Diagnosing and resolving switching, routing, RF and firewall issues, maintaining VPN configurations, and enforcing security policies, all documented properly in the ticketing system and knowledge base. Alongside the reactive work, you'll be running regular health checks and audits across the managed service estate to keep availability high and standards tight. When outages happen, you'll be producing RFO reports, coordinating with suppliers, and keeping customers informed throughout.
