Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Network Operations Lead to shape and grow the network engineering function. The role combines hands-on networking with team leadership, mentoring, and customer engagement to raise standards and drive the engineering team's growth.

You will lead network upgrades and major incidents while collaborating with service desk and project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and improved operational visibility.

Qualifications

• Experience leading network engineering teams.
• Proven ability to manage major incidents and drive resolution.

• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: act as senior escalation point for network issues, lead major incidents, troubleshoot complex environments, drive standards.
• Team & Operations: mentor engineers, improve processes, documentation, and visibility, assist with workload planning.
• Customer Engagement: work with customers to understand needs, identify risks, advise on improvements, plan lifecycle upgrades.
• Project Delivery: lead upgrades, migrations, and refresh projects; support design and decision making; collaborate with service desk and project teams.
