Job summary

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Retrofit Project Manager to join the Net Zero Delivery team, focusing on delivering priority retrofit projects funded by government grants and reducing fuel poverty across the region.

You will manage consortium members and housing providers, oversee budgets and governance, and report on performance and risks, with a flexible hybrid office/home setup including occasional Bristol office visits.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within construction, social housing, or local government.
• Strong financial acumen with grant funding, accruals, invoicing, and budget tracking.
• Excellent communication and ability to coordinate dispersed stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support consortium members and social housing providers to ensure retrofit projects meet timelines, budgets, quality.
• Develop relationships with funding bodies, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure robust financial oversight by validating grant claims, processing invoices, budgeting, governance.
• Complete monitoring, evaluations, reports, and risk assessments.
• Provide coordination and analysis to overcome delivery barriers.
