Job summary

Sainsbury's Tech is seeking a talented .NET Engineer to design, build and deliver high-performing technology that enhances customer experience and reduces operating costs. You’ll work with modern engineering practices, cloud platforms and a collaborative team.

You’ll bring expertise in .NET, React.js, SQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker and serverless architectures, contributing to the technical roadmap while supporting scalable solutions across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in .NET development.
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of React.js and modern frontend development standards.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Understanding of serverless functions and event-driven architecture.
• Solid understanding of software design, security principles, and DevSecOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale, high-performance services using the latest technologies and engineering standards.
• Work with technologies such as React.js, SQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, serverless functions and event-driven architecture.
• Implement and enhance cloud-based solutions across AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap, shaping the long-term architecture and engineering strategy.
• Support internal frameworks and services that improve capability across the wider organisation.
• Share knowledge, contribute to best practices and enable continuous improvement within the engineering community.
