Job summary

Sainsbury's is hiring a talented .NET Engineer to design, build and deliver high-performing services across modern cloud-native tech. You’ll contribute to customer experience and efficiency while applying common engineering standards and agile practices.

You’ll work with React.js, SQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) to shape long-term architecture and roadmaps. A collaborative, curious mindset and passion for quality will help you thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in .NET development and associated engineering principles.
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of React.js and modern frontend development standards.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Understanding of serverless functions and event-driven architecture.
• Solid understanding of software design, security principles, and DevSecOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.

Essential Criteria

• Strong experience in .NET development and associated engineering principles.

• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of React.js and modern frontend development standards.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Understanding of serverless functions and event‑driven architecture.
• Solid understanding of software design, security principles, and DevSecOps practices.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
