Job summary

The Shrewsbury And Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated Neonatal Sister to join our neonatal team. The role is permanent (Band 6) and requires RN/RM/RCN registration with QIS/ENB 405 and neonatal experience.

You will lead and coordinate care, supervise staff, and work rotating shifts including nights and weekends. As part of the Hospital Transformation Programme, the service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration RSCN/RN (Child)/RN/RM
• ENB 405 or equivalent
• NLS Accredited
• Mentorship/ Teaching and assessing in clinical practice qualification

Responsibilities

• To function as a competent clinical practitioner within their designated clinical area and deliver direct patient care.
• Co-ordinate and oversee nursing practice during the span of duty.
• Ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver high quality care.
• Work closely with the ward manager and multidisciplinary team.
• Drive evidence-based practice in line with national guidance and support flexible service delivery.
