Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Neonatal Sister to join the Neonatal Team. This is a 6 month Band 6 developmental post to coordinate the Neonatal unit and deliver direct patient care with leadership and clinical expertise.

You will need to be RN/RM/RCN with QIS/ENB 405, and have previous Neonatal Unit experience. The role involves shift work including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, within a multidisciplinary team committed to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• RN/RM/RCN with QIS/ENB 405 and neonatal unit experience.

Responsibilities

• Function as a competent clinical practitioner within their designated clinical area, delivering direct patient care while coordinating and overseeing nursing practice.
• Responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty.
• Ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care.
• Work closely with the ward manager and multidisciplinary team.
• Help drive evidence-based practice in line with national guidance to enhance neonatal care and work flexibly to meet service needs.
