The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust invites applications for a Band 6 Neonatal Sister to coordinate our Neonatal unit. You will provide clinical leadership, manage direct patient care, and oversee nursing practice within a busy Level 2 unit that will relocate to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028.

You will join a team that rotates shifts including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Applicants must be RN/RM/RCN with ENB 405, NLS Accredited, and demonstrate excellent communication

Qualificações

• RN/RM/RCN registration and ENB 405 or equivalent.
• Extensive neonatal nursing experience.
• Experience leading a team.

Responsabilidades

• To function as a competent clinical practitioner within their designated clinical area and deliver direct patient care while coordinating and overseeing nursing practice.
• To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty.
• To ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group.
• To work closely with the ward manager and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• To help drive forward evidence-based practice in line with national guidance to enhance the care we deliver to vulnerable infants and their families.

Conhecimentos

Excellent teaching skills

Able to work using own initiative

Ability to provide and receive complex

Formação académica

Current NMC registration RSCN/RN (Child)/RN/RM

ENB 405 or equivalent

NLS Accredited

Mentorship/ Teaching and assessing in clinical practice qualification
