A Neighbourhood Housing Officer role in Tenancy Services with Swindon Borough Council could be a good fit for you!
On a day-to-day basis, you will undertake all estate and tenancy management functions (approximately 850 properties) and be responsible for ensuring maximum rental income is collected, balancing prevention, early intervention, and recovery actions for debts owed.
You will also handle low-level nuisance and anti-social behaviour, sign up new tenancies, manage tenancies, provide welfare advice, and work closely with external agencies and tenants.
This role is demanding, especially during challenging times for our customers. Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. You may be required to work evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
You must be able to travel throughout the Borough.
This role is subject to a DBS disclosure.
You must be fluent in English, as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act, for effective customer interactions.
