Job summary

Mace is seeking a Commercial Manager to join a multi-year programme in the London/Surrey area. You will integrate with the project team to manage commercial, procurement, pre-construction and delivery activities in a live environment, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with NEC4 ECC contracts.

The role requires strong cost management, client liaison at director level, and experience with large public sector schemes. Flexible/hybrid working options may be considered where suitable.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction sector, Pharma/Health/Life Sciences is a plus.
• Strong value management and programme development capabilities.
• Ownership mentality and accountability for commercial outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client liaison at director level.
• Understanding of NEC4 ECC Contracts is essential (as per the role) in commercial delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers; monitor performance and compliance.
• Produce payment certificates for interim payments as per contract requirements.
• Provide post- award commercial services for goods and services up to final account.
• Maintain financial impact assessments for instructed changes and compensation events.
• Negotiate financial impacts of compensation events with suppliers.
• Maintain project data sets for consistency and accuracy and assist cost planning/budgeting.
• Support cost management, forecasting and budget/s spend profiling.
• Calculate and manage the Mace commission monthly fee and cashflow forecasting.
• Assist with auditing contract administration and project management processes.
• Carry out cost impact analysis of scope/schedule changes.
• Support PMs with cost reports and learning recommendations.
