Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced NEC Commercial Manager to own commercial outcomes on major highways and transport programmes. You will lead contractual and financial assurance and act as a senior adviser to project teams and supply chain partners.

The role requires hands-on NEC3 contract experience, strong governance, and the ability to drive value and delivery improvements across complex schemes.

• Experience in NEC3 and other NEC forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Take strategic ownership of commercial outcomes on complex, high-value highways and transport programmes.
• Lead commercial, contractual and financial assurance across a portfolio of Highways & Transport projects.
• Maintain strong commercial governance across the directorate.
• Provide high-quality cost assurance on technically complex programmes.
• Act as senior commercial adviser to project teams, internal stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Drive improved value, robust contract performance and smarter delivery models across Highways programmes.
• Work with senior leaders, partners and stakeholders to secure consistency, transparency and strong commercial outcomes.
