Job summary

People Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading global consultancy on a major government redevelopment programme in the London/Surrey area. You will provide commercial and contractual expertise across multiple work packages from post-contract award through final account.

Working in a hybrid environment, you will manage NEC3/NEC4 ECC contracts, lead payments and cost reporting, support procurement and cost forecasting, and engage with clients, suppliers and senior

Qualifications

• Experience in a Commercial Management or Cost Management role within construction.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 ECC contracts.
• Experience delivering large public sector schemes and multi-work package oversight.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills with director-level engagement.
• Strong financial management, cost reporting and forecasting.
• Degree in construction-related discipline and professional qualification, or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial and contractual activities in accordance with NEC3 or NEC4 ECC contracts.
• Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and programme stakeholders.
• Managing interim payments, payment certificates and final accounts.
• Assessing, negotiating and managing compensation events and the financial impact of instructed changes.
• Supporting cost management, forecasting, budget control and expenditure planning.
• Producing cost reports, financial analysis and performance data to support effective decision-making.
• Undertaking cost impact analysis of proposed scope and programme changes.
• Supporting procurement, contract administration, benchmarking and value management.
• Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, efficiency and value for money.
