Job summary

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. We support a major infrastructure programme in the UK and require a Procurement Assistant to help implement the commercial strategy in the pre-contract phase.

You will contribute to NEC4 contract strategy, draft and review documentation, manage risk and commercial controls, and support tender evaluations and contract awards.

Qualifications

• MCIPS qualification or working toward it.
• Experience in major infrastructure projects.
• Strong contracting and negotiation skills.
• Experience in pre-award activities, tendering and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Supporting NEC4 contract strategy and principles.
• Drafting and reviewing contract documentation.
• Managing risk allocation and commercial controls.
• Preparing commercial tender documentation.
• Managing commercial modelling and tender evaluations.
• Supporting negotiations and contract awards.
• Ensuring governance, compliance and assurance.
• Building strong stakeholder and supply chain relationships.
• Providing commercial guidance and developing teams.
• Driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and market insights.
