Job summary

Shirley Parsons are supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation within the defence sector to recruit an NDT Technician (Welding Biased) to join a growing Technical Quality team. This role offers exposure to a wide range of inspection activities across weldments, forgings, machined components, pipework and fabricated structures.

The NDT Technician will carry out MPI, DPI and Visual Inspections, interpret drawings and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

Experience in MPI, DPI, and Visual Inspection across engineering products.
Ability to interpret complex fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent management systems.
Knowledge of welding processes and related standards.

Responsibilities

Carry out MPI, DPI and Visual Inspection across engineering products.
Conduct visual welding inspections and dimensional verification against drawings.
Analyse inspection results and document findings.
Raise and support investigations of non-conformances and quality issues.
Work with welding, engineering and quality teams to maintain standards.
Support QC and inspection activities related to welding and non-destructive testing.
