Job summary

ES Recruit is seeking a skilled NDT Inspector to perform non-destructive testing across production stages in South Manchester. You will work with the Quality Manager to maintain high standards and ensure product integrity.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating MT and VT equipment, reviewing part prints, and documenting reports with corrective actions. Candidates should hold PCN Level 2 MT/MPI and VT or CSWIP, have proven NDT experience, and be able to interpret specifications and

Qualifications

• PCN Level 2 MT/MPI & VT or CSWIP required.
• Experience in an NDT/NDE role within manufacturing or engineering.
• Ability to interpret specifications and engineering drawings.
• Ability to use quality instruments (weld gauges, micrometres, steel ruler).

Job description

We are seeking a skilled NDT Inspector to perform tests and inspecting products at various stages of the production process. The role focuses on non-destructive testing to ensure the quality and integrity of materials and products. The successful candidate will work closely with the Quality Manager to maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various non-destructive tests predominantly focused on MT & VT techniques.
• Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment and ensure its correct operation.
• Review part prints, procedures, and work instructions to complete testing accurately.
• Document reports and implement corrective and preventative actions as needed.
• Coordinate with the Quality Manager to address quality issues and ensure compliance with company processes.

Requirements:

• PCN Level 2 in Magnetic Particle inspection (MT/MPI), and Visual Testing (VT) or CSWIP.
• Proven experience in an NDT / NDE role
• Ability to interpret specifications & engineering drawings
• Ability to use Quality instruments; weld gauges, micrometres, steel ruler, etc.

Location: South Manchester

Contract - ongoing.

Full Time, 0700-1530 (Mon-Thurs), 0700-1200 (Fri)

Pay Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience) via PAYE or UMBRELLA + Overtime.

Benefits: 7% Pension Contributions, 4% from candidate, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
