Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking an NDT Technician to join its expanding inspection operations at the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project in Bridgwater, UK. Operating on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, the technician carries out surface and volumetric non-destructive evaluations, reviews peer inspection reports, enforces HSEQ protocols, and mentors apprentices.

Qualifications

• Valid PCN Level 2 or equivalent ISO 9712 in RT, MPI, and DPI.
• Experience performing NDT weld testing on new build or heavy construction sites.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface and volumetric NDT methods on site pipework and structures.
• Review peer inspection reports and evaluation data.
• Draft inspection sheets and procedural documentation.
• Log daily equipment checks, calibrations, and safety inspections.
• Conduct POWRA and maintain HSEQ compliance.
• Mentor NDT apprentices on-site.
