Job summary

Matchtech Group is recruiting a Quality Control Inspector for the on-site Hinkley Point C project in Somerset, with occasional travel to the Broughton manufacturing site. The role focuses on welding, NDT oversight, ITP management, and ensuring nuclear safety compliance.

You will inspect welds, verify procedures, manage ITPs through fabrication and delivery, and prepare inspection reports while liaising with production teams and subcontractors to curb CFSI risks.

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.1 certified Welding Inspector.
• PCN Level 2 in PT and RI required.
• Ability to read ISO drawings and complex schematics.
• Welding procedures and joint geometries knowledge.
• Proficiency with standard inspection reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welds for strength and quality across fabrication and installation.
• Manage ITPs throughout manufacture and site delivery.
• Conduct goods inwards checks and CFSI awareness.
• Produce inspection reports and supplier quality communications.
