Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an NDT Technician for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader with 20+ locations and 1000+ staff. The role is based in Yorkshire, with commuting options from Leeds, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

You will conduct VI, MPI, DPI, UT and NE inspections, analyse results, raise non-conformances, and help resolve shop-floor issues related to machining, welding, or metallurgical causes.

Qualifications

• PCN Level 2 in Visual, MPI, DPI and UT for Forgings.
• Experience preparing detailed inspection reports outlining findings and standards.
• Manual Handling training experience.
• ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor trained.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VI, MPI, DPI, UT and NE inspections on forgings, components and welds.
• Analyse inspection results and document findings per procedures.
• Raise non-conformance reports per non-conformance procedure.
• Assist in resolving shop floor issues related to machining, welding, or heat treatment.

Job description

NDT Technician required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with over 20 worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff. This employer is recognised globally for quality and innovative deliverables.

The successful NDT Technician will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities of the NDT Technician will include:

• Conduct various inspections, including Visual Inspection (VI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Nital Etch inspection (NE) of forgings, machine components, and weldments.
• Analyse inspection results, identify potential flaws, interpret standards, and document findings according to established procedures.
• Raise non-conformance reports in line with the non-conformance management procedure.
• Assist in resolving shop floor issues related to machining, welding, heat treatment, or metallurgical causes.

For the NDT Technician role, we are keen to receive CVs from candidates who possess:

• PCN Level 2 Minimum in Visual, MPI, DPI and UT Forgings
• Experienced in preparing detailed reports outlining inspections findings, Defects and Interpreting specifications and standards
• Manual Handling and training experience
• ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor Trained

Salary & Benefits on offer for the successful NDT Technician:

• £39604 basic - £(phone number removed) ( shift rate)
• 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - Rotating Shifts - Morning and afternoons
• 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays
• Company pension contributions of up to 8%
