Job summary

Catering in Manchester is seeking a skilled NDT Inspector to perform tests and inspect products at various stages of the production process, focusing on non-destructive testing to ensure quality and integrity of materials. You will work with the Quality Manager to maintain high standards and generate accurate inspection reports.

The role requires PCN Level 2 qualifications in MT/MPI or PT/LPI/DPI, VT/CSWIP preferred, and experience in an NDT/NDE environment.

Qualifications

• PCN Level 2 in MT/MPI.
• PCN Level 2 in PT, LPI or DPI.
• Visual Testing (VT) or CSWIP preferred.
• Proven experience in an NDT/NDE role.
• Ability to interpret specifications and drawings.
• UK driving licence and valid passport.
• Location: Manchester; permanent, full-time.

Responsibilities

• Perform various non-destructive tests predominantly focused on MT, PT, or Visual (VT or CSWIP).
• Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment and ensure its correct operation.
• Review part prints, procedures, and work instructions to complete testing accurately.
• Document reports and implement corrective and preventative actions as needed.
• Coordinate with the Quality Manager to address quality issues and ensure compliance with company processes.

• Proven experience in an NDT / NDE role
• Ability to interpret specifications & engineering drawings
• Ability to use Quality instruments; weld gauges, micrometres, steel ruler, etc.
• UK Driving licence and valid passport. Location: Manchester

• Salary: £40k – £45k
• Benefits: 7% Pension Contributions, 4% from candidate, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
