Strive Supply Chain in Birmingham, West Midlands, is seeking an MPI & FPI Technician to join the inspection team. You will perform Magnetic Particle Inspection and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection on components and assemblies, on a Monday to Friday schedule with AM/PM shifts, and with a 17% shift bonus plus benefits.

The role requires producing clear, traceable records, following approved procedures, and maintaining calibration of equipment.

Qualificações

• Read and apply NDT procedures, drawings and specs.
• Record results accurately in English with traceability.
• Maintain environmental and viewing conditions per procedures.
• Safely operate MPI equipment, UV lamps and meters.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out MPI and FPI in accordance with instructions and criteria.
• Review instructions, drawings and plans before starting work.
• Prepare surfaces, select consumables, verify environmental conditions.
• Set up and check MPI equipment, lamps and meters.
• Interpret indications and distinguish reportable defects.
• Record test results and maintain traceability.
• Produce clear inspection reports and communicate non-conformances promptly.
• Maintain calibration of equipment and consumables, report defects.
• Follow health, safety, and radiation/chemical controls.
• Support audits, continuous-improvement activities and quality investigations.
