Job summary

Strive Supply Chain Limited is recruiting an MPI & FPI Technician for their Birmingham laboratory, supporting aerospace and casting sectors. You will perform non-destructive testing using MPI and fluorescent penetrant inspection and maintain traceable records.

The role is Monday to Friday with AM/PM shifts in West Midlands, offering a starting salary around £32,000 plus a 17% shift bonus and benefits. A Level 1/2 NDT certification is essential and candidates should have experience in regulated

Qualifications

• Current Level 1/2 certification in MPI and FPI
• Ability to read NDT procedures, drawings and specs
• Ability to produce clear records and reports in English
• Valid near-vision and colour-perception examinations

Responsibilities

• Carry out MPI and FPI per approved instructions and criteria
• Review instructions, drawings and plans before starting work
• Prepare components and verify environmental/ viewing conditions
• Set up and check MPI equipment, UV lamps and related instruments
• Record results with traceability and communicate findings
• Maintain calibrated equipment and perform routine checks
• Follow health, safety, radiation/chemical-control requirements
• Support audits and continuous-improvement activities
• Protect customer assets and confidential information
• Maintain training records and certifications
