Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Limited, based near Wrexham, seeks an NC Programming Engineer to interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings and to program/verify components on CNC machines. The role aims to reduce bottlenecks and improve machine utilization while meeting CI targets.

The candidate will create prove-out sheets, design fixtures, and manage NC introductions for new products, working with 5S/6S standards and safety requirements on a busy, unionised site.

Qualifications

Experience in high speed machining and interpreting engineering drawings.
Proficiency with Catia V5 and NC programming/verification.
Strong numeracy and ability to read complex specifications.

Responsibilities

Engineer components using NC programming and verification on CNC machines.
Create prove-out sheets and oversee program prove-out.
Interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings precisely.
Design fixtures and jigs; create solid models; document components.
