Job summary

Baker McKenzie International is seeking a Risk Systems and Data Management Specialist for New Business Intake (NBI). You will ensure data integrity across client onboarding, matter opening, and ongoing maintenance, acting as a subject matter expert to support regulatory compliance and a positive user experience.

You will lead data management improvements, collaborate with Technology and PMO on UATs, and develop training materials to promote best practices across the firm’s risk systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (2:1 or above preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
• At least three years' relevant experience in risk systems, data management, or comparable professional-services environment.
• Experience working independently and resolving complex issues where precedents may not exist.
• Experience supporting system enhancements, UAT, implementations or operational change.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity, accuracy, and consistency of client and matter data within risk systems (Intapp/Open/SAP).
• Lead review and resolution of complex data issues, identifying root causes and enabling solutions.
• Develop and document data management procedures to support regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
• Develop training materials and user guides to strengthen knowledge and adoption of risk systems.
• Monitor data quality trends and recommend proactive measures to reduce risk.
