Job summary

Places for People is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to drive end-to-end tender submissions for PfP Students, collaborating with the Head of Business Development and key stakeholders. You will lead multiple bids, ensure excellence in submissions and help shape future bidding strategy.

The role requires strong governance of procurement processes, robust stakeholder engagement, and the ability to guide a team of bid writers during busy periods, with nationwide travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven bid management experience in a competitive tendering environment.
• Strong knowledge of public sector procurement processes and portals.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders across large organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex bids and opportunities simultaneously.
• Experience in property or student accommodation is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tender and bid processes for PfP Students, ensuring high-quality, compelling submissions.
• Coordinate with Head of Business Development and internal stakeholders to align on strategy and branding.
• Manage bid reviews, debriefs and bid performance tracking; maintain tender pipeline.
• Provide leadership to temporary bid writers during peak periods.
• Attend client sites for national-role meetings as required.
