Job summary

Ministry of Justice is recruiting a Vetting Administrator to join the newly established Personnel Security Team. The role supports the delivery of high-quality Personnel Security and National Security Vetting (NSV) services across the MOJ estate.

The post holder will provide administrative support, sponsor NSV applications via the UKSV NSVS Portal, manage the NSV mailbox, keep records up to date, and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality administrative support to the department and senior managers.
• Manage the National Security Vetting (NSV) team mailbox with timely and professional responses.
• Sponsor NSV applications via the UKSV NSVS Portal, issue reminders and unlock accounts.
• Maintain accurate NSV records, initiate transfer/share requests, and update personal circumstances from UKSV.
• Process and log Aftercare Security Assessment Forms (ASAFs) and other relevant documentation.
• Generate and act on reports from internal and external systems.
• Maintain resources such as NSV Contact List, Vetting Matrix, and SharePoint Hub.
• Support planning and delivery of departmental projects and administrative initiatives.
• Respond flexibly to team needs and undertake additional tasks as necessary.
• Pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
